The first truly rectangle watch from Lange, it was another surprise from the brand which had resurrected itself just a couple of years ago in 1994. The first reference 107.031 was a two tone Cabaret featuring a black dial and a pink gold case with matching hands and indices. Over the years Lange introduced 8 different references in different metals and dial combinations, including MoP dials. The present reference 107.027 was made for four years, from 1998 until 2002. And 18K white gold case, featuring a blue dial and white gold hands / indexes, an oversized date aperture at 12 and a seconds subdial at 6. The fine lines of the rectangular case are unlike anything that Lange does, and this reference truly stands out among the other models from the brand. On the inside is the manual would Caliber L931.3, a form-shaped movement featuring a three-quarter plate made of untreated German silver and decorated with Glashütte ribbing, a stop second mechanism activated when the crown is pulled out and a patented twin-disc mechanism for the display of the oversized date. The finishing, as one would expect from Lange, is exceptional. This elegant timepiece comes on hand-stitched alligator strap with a white gold pin buckle. A.Lange & Sohne
