HENTSCHEL à Straßbourg / TADEUSZ KOSZIUSZKO verge pocket watch with 1/4-repetition in 4- color-gold, France around 1780, open case with big lateral hinge, rear site music instruments in 4-color-gold applied, on white-gold parts marked: "TADEUSZ KOSZIUSZKO" and "24 WRZESN. 1783 P.", on pink gold parts "ZELTNER" and "SOLEURE", enamel dial with Arabic numerals (hairlines), hands later, gold plated movement with chain and fusee, strike on bell (repaired), gilded, partial enamelled key enclosed, diameter approx. 43 mm, condition 2-3 TADEUSZ KOSZIUSZKO is deemed to be national hero in Poland, Belarus, the USA and Lithuania. He fights amongst others from 1776 - 1783 in American war of independence at the side of the young USA, in Russian-Polish war of 1792 and 1794 in the after him named rebellion he fights against the splitting of Poland.
