Yellow gold pocket watch with hour and quarter repeaters - Lot 231

Pocket watch with hour and quarter repeaters in 18K 750 thousandths yellow gold. - Round case, Empire caseband, oval bail, smooth bezel, double officer's caseback with barley grain guilloché and chiseled initials LD. - White enamel dial, railway minute track and Breguet numerals painted in black, Breguet hands in blued steel. Accompanied by an 18K yellow gold key (does not work with the watch): gross weight: 5.96 g Cuvette bearing an apocryphal signature Breguet in Paris and numbered 1.1817 Caseback numbered 2106, several French guarantee hallmarks including the Coq with raised paw and turned neck 3 for a production in 18K gold in Paris between 1809 and 1819. Mechanical movement with manual winding with key with hour and quarter repeater function. Diameter: 50 mm - Gross weight: 110.75 g The watch was not produced by the House of Breguet and we warmly thank Mr. Emmanuel Breguet, Director of Heritage at the House of Breguet, for confirming the apocryphal signatures and numbering. Condition report: Good general condition, scratches from use, crack on the dial at 6 o'clock, the watch is not working at the time of the appraisal, a revision recommended.
