There were many dial variations, all produced by Stern company in Geneva, including those with smooth dials (like the pre-owned Audemars Piguet for sale here) and traditional Tapisserie.  Regardless of metal finish or dial type, each 14486 variant features a 36mm case with a 50-meter depth rating.  This case size effectively replaced the 35mm ref. 4100 in the 1980s and has since been viewed as an approachable and modern unisex model.
