Audemars Piguet “Diamond-Dial” Ultra-Thin

Offered here is a gorgeous time-only from Audemars Piguet, housed in 18kt white gold, circa 1960s. This model, referred to as the “Ultra Thin” line, and was powered by the beautiful Audemars Piguet Caliber 2001; additionally, this particular Ultra Thin was produced with a very uncommon factory diamond dial. The condition of this Audemars Piguet Ultra Thin is very nice and well-preserved. Firstly, the case appears unpolished and sharp, and has an endearing caseback engraving, which reads “To John D. McArthur. May 5, 1972. From Directors of SNB and RNB.” The dial is overall well-preserved, showing some aging to the right-side edge of the dial, and around the 3 o’clock marker.
