My superb Bovet Military.
Bovet are known as an ultra high level Swiss watch manufacturer.
They are premier League. I have ever only owned 6 watches at this level. 2 x Cyrus now also for sale from my collection and 2 x Bovet, plus 2 Henry Moser & CIE.
Bovet are up there with Richard Mille, Cabestan, H Moser & CIE to name a few

You will note Rolex are two divisions down from Bovet and Patek and Audemars 1 down.
This watch is very much the pre cursor to the watches now made by Bovet. This is a world renowned company making its own parts.
To buy a new Bovet will cost as a basic starter£40,000.00. Such is the caliber of this watch and now a chance to own it.

I’m sure it’s sapphire crystal.
Some normal marks to the crystal commensurate with being a military watch.
The case came with the watch all those years ago, it’s wood.Sturdy and the previous and original owner knew the value and protected it. You will receive the case also.
Normal light wear to the case commensurate with limited use and a 80 plus year old watch.
Fully authentic and completely original less the strap.
Fully functioning. Serviced a few years back but unused, this is a collectors watch. Please note, run it and if after a year or so she runs a bit fast, time for a service.
To have owned this watch has been a privilege. Now needing a new custodian for the next 80 years!

She looks quite magnificent on the wrist, huge statement piece and it’s a one of the finest watches on the planet.

The marks on the crystal should not be polished out in my opinion, it’s part of the watch history.

I’m selling my entire collection gathered over 45 years post retirement so virtually every watch has provenance as it’s been with me, unused, untouched and not harmed.
This watch is no exception. Condition in any vintage watch is hugely important but when it comes down to spending hard earned money it becomes critical.
I cannot stress enough that this is an ultra high Swiss timepiece, PLEASE just look at Bovet on Chrono24, or Moser, Cyrus.
This watch is for the individual who knows how good it is. Sadly, you’ll pay a lot more for an inferior watch that is well marketed.
If price is your only determining factor, then this watch isn’t for you. To get the highest quality and condition it has to be priced accordingly.
