Created to honour Breitling’s own Lockheed L-1049 super constellation “Star of Switzerland,” with exactly 1,049 pieces produced, matching the aircraft’s registration number. It is the only operational super constellation in Europe, still flying at airshows, though it requires 200 hours of maintenance for every hour in the air to keep it operational.
