AN EXTREMELY RARE GENTLEMAN'S LARGE SIZE 18K SOLID GOLD CARTIER LONDON OCTAGONAL WRIST WATCH CIRCA 1970, ONE OF ONLY SIX PIECES KNOWN, THIS WATCH WAS ORIGINALLY OWNED BY WILLIAM HAINES, A FAMOUS SILENT ACTOR & INTERIOR DESIGNER IN HOLLYWOOD, CONSIGNED BY FAMILY OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER, ACCOMPANIED BY NEWSPAPER PRESS CLIPPINGS Movement: Manual wind, signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, cal. P838, numbered 1,86x,xxx. Case: Width approx. 33mm, numbered, 18k London hallmarks with letter ( P ), replacement crown. Strap: Leather, no deployant. CONDITION REPORT Dial: Original dial in very good condition, showing small signs of age. Movement: Running & functioning at present, timekeeping and accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
