This is a stainless steel timepiece on a de Grisogono Stingray strap and is a limited edition (number 292 of just 500 made)
The watch case is 33mm x 33mm but with its integrated hinged lugs, the dimensions are 33mm x 55mm with a thickness of 11mm.
It is in nice pre-owned condition as shown the photos and is running to modern day watchmaking precision. So please buy with total peace of mind.
It will fit up to 15/16cm wrist and the size cannot be adjusted. A new strap would be required.
de Grisogono is a Swiss luxury jeweller founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1993 by Lebanese-Italian black diamond specialist Fawaz Gruosi.
The Italian name Grisogono is derived from the Latin Chrysogonus which comes from the Greek Chrysogonos χρῡσό-γονος, meaning “begotten of gold”.
In 2022 it was bought by the Damac Group of Dubai.
A well-established jewellery house, de Grisogono has secured its position as an illustrious watch brand thanks to the vision of its founder and current CEO, Fawaz Gruosi.
In 2000, the luxury brand took its first step into haute horlogerie by launching its first watch line, the Instrumento N°Uno, a timepiece which showcased the brand’s flair for stylish lines, but it also boasts impressive mechanics, including the first ever blackened watch movement.
The watch has a square Stainless Steel case giving a rectangular look with its articulating hinged lugs with bracelet design which integrates within the case.
The silver asymmetrical dial exudes a semblance of power thanks to enlarged numerals and big-date display window positioned at 7 o’clock which due to it’s size, is very legible.
The creative dial numerals give a certain boldness to the watch as they make way for the second time subsidiary dial, the two meeting in the middle to create an elegant upside-down 8 formation.
Note, there are no second hands.
The date and local time are set with the crown which also can also manually wind the watch, and the second time zone is adjusted with the pusher button below the crown on the case side.
The crown also draws great interest due to the black diamond that has been mounted into its centre. This feature is novel to de Grisogono, the incorporation of a black diamond is without a doubt a subtle homage to its founder, Mr. Gruosi, whom is a black diamond specialist
Inside, the Instrumento N° Uno houses a self-winding mechanical movement that beats at 28,800 vph and can be viewed through the watch’s sapphire caseback.
Water resistant to 3ATM
The stingray leather bracelet is affixed to a de Grisogrono push release, double fold butterfly clasp for luxurious fastening.
This is truly a luxurious instrument for the travelling adventurer who appreciates fine timepieces!
