A true icon of the 1980's. This watch utilizes the Zenith El Primero movement, helping revive it thus ensuring it was available for Rolex to use in their Daytona. Unlike the Daytona, Ebel chose to keep the watch at it's original hi-beat frequency of 36,000 V/PH, an absolute joy to use. This watch has just had a full mechanical service by my master watchmaker at a cost of $990, this watch will run with no issues for years to come! Condition of the watch is great for a watch nearing 40 years old, the case and bezel displaying some hairline marks but no dents or gouges. The bracelet has a little separation on the 3rd link on the 12 o'clock side, this is quite common on this model. The pictures illustrate this clearly. It also looks as though the previous owner added 3-4 links from a different bracelet as there is a subtle difference in reflection on certain light and viewing angles. It is currently sized to fit my 18cm wrist, no additional links are provided. This watch features the older style seat-belt clasp which is a more desirable configuration for collectors over the later folding clasp. It comes with the correct contemporary box and travel pouch, no papers or manuals are included. Also included are the parts changed at service and the payment receipt from service. I will also include an OEM black leather band with Ebel folding clasp. The leather is in ok/fair condition, the clasp is a good value inclusion.
