Edox was founded in 1884 by Christian Ruefli-Flury and till this day remains a family-owned, Independent Swiss company. Unlike many other Swiss brands, Edox survived quartz revolution and regained independence, not being affiliated today with any huge conglomerate such as Swatch Group or LVMH. Edox holds a world record (still unbroken), for world’s slimmest calendar watch, the “Les Bémonts Ultra Slim” collection. The movement had a thickness of only 1.4 mm, which is a technical record still held by Edox to this day. The company sponsors Class-1 Powerboat Championship World, the Extreme Sailing Series, Dakar Rally and is sponsor and official timekeeper of the World Rally Championship. Getting back to the point, watch is powered by the legendary ETA Valjoux 7750 Chronograph Movement, well-known in the world of watchmaking for being tough, reliable, versatile, accurate and long-lasting. The watch case remains in excellent condition, showcasing only barely visible signs of respectful usage.
