Description

Elgin Diver’s Automatic Bakelite Bezel circa 1960’s

Exceptional condition example vintage Elgin diver’s model ref 4156 circa 1960’s. Featuring 37 x 46mm tonneau shaped case with screw down case back and great looking wide rotating bright reddish/orange and black elapsed time bakelite bezel, acrylic crystal, and very pleasing original black dial with oversized luminous indexes and stylized arrow head minute hand and luminous tipped sweep seconds hand. Powered by self winding caliber M-135 movement with sweep seconds and date. Exceptional condition in every respect. Shown on sporty all black NATO strap. A terrific looking and colorful vintage diver’s model. Note: This model is often seen with a metal bezel, rather than bakelite as the current example. Further it is more often seen in a later day and date version, rather than the earlier date only model. We think that this pristine bezeklite bezel model with date, is the most desirable version. Additionally, your watch purchase includes one of our signature fine leather watch pouches great for storage and travel, a $55.00 value.
