Journe Chronomètre à Résonance. The watch features a 40mm round platinum case with a 9.1mm height, encasing a stunning dial made of white gold and whitened guilloché silver. A wonderful symmetrical double display indicating the hours and minutes with two small seconds counter at 6 o’clock. Power reserve indicator of 40 hours is located at 11 o’clock, while the blued steel hands enhance the overall aesthetic. Time adjustment can be done by the crown at 12 o’clock and reset of both seconds hands to zero with the push piece at 4 o’clock. In a resonance watch, two balance wheels sit close together and begin to sync by sharing each other’s energy. When one speeds up and the other slows down, outside disturbances cancel out over time. The balances fall into a natural rhythm, beating in opposite directions, which boosts accuracy and stability. Under the hood is the Calibre 1499.2, a manual-winding movement in 18k rose gold comprising 299 parts and 36 jewels. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, one can admire the exquisite finishing of the movement: Geneva waves on the bridges, polished and beveled screw heads with chamfered slots, and a baseplate adorned with partial circular graining.
