The SBGZ009’s design captures the true beauty of the white birch forests that stretch across the Yachiho Plateau at the eastern foot of the Kita-Yatsugatake Mountains. Inspired by the majestic white birch forest in winter, the silver-toned dial and platinum case are hand-finished with a long grooves pattern, bringing the watch to life with a vivid winter scene. The platinum case is first polished to a mirror finish before being meticulously engraved by the skilled artisans at the Shinshu Watch Studio. The new textured metallic-toned dial complements the engraved case, together evoking the serene beauty of nature. As each piece is hand-engraved, no two watches are alike, making each one uniquely special. Exclusive to Grand Seiko Boutiques, this collection is powered by the Spring Drive caliber 9R02. This movement was developed by the Micro Artist Studio in Shiojiri, the same elite team responsible for the revered 8-Day Power Reserve Spring Drive, which garnered acclaim from both collectors and critics at the 2016 Baselworld. Tastefully executed, the SBGZ009 is part of a limited edition of just 50 pieces. The present number 38 is preserved in like-new condition and comes complete with a Grand Seiko watch stand and all original accessories.
