Kind regards, MW ============================== Exceptionally rare and hard to find, this all-original, unrestored Gübelin 20 Dollar Liberty coin watch is a collector's piece. These coin watches have seen a remarkable surge in both demand and value in the vintage watch market. Only a handful of examples have appeared over the past few decades. Within the masterfully crafted case, made out of two original antique US 20 dollar coins (22K gold), sits the 18K gold Gubelin flip-out case. The watch is powered by a high grade thin Gubelin signed movement adorned with large red rubies and elegant bridges. The coin watch remains in a well preserved used condition. The coin shows some tiny scratches, yet remaining its detailed presentation on both the front, back and its ribbed coin edge (see macro shots). Champagne dial with Roman hour markers and blued steel baton hands. The expertly concealed secret lever has been crafted to remain almost invisible to the naked eye (see picture 8). Pressing the lever effortlessly releases the front lid, causing it to jump open. The movement runs good and keeps time well within the standards of vintage ultra thin movements (20sec + every 24 hours). Case dimension: 34,3 millimeters.
