The present watch is a sought-after first edition of the iconic Big Pilot model, sometimes called "Slow-Beat" because of its 2.5 Hz movement. The five-beats-per-second rhythm allows the beat to be seen in a way that many modern mechanical watches (which typically beat 8 times per second) do not.
