He disappeared in mysterious circumstances during a reconnaissance mission in 1944, but not before playing a vital role in both civilian and military aviation and penning several literary masterpieces, the most celebrated of which is “Le Petit Prince”. To pay homage to this great poet and humanist, IWC has made several commemorative special editions in his honour. This is a particularly fine limited edition based on the new Mark XVIII, with an engraving on the caseback of the little prince with his coat and sword.
