JOHN BENNETT, LONDON AN 18 CARAT GOLD KEYLESS WIND FULL HUNTER POCKET WATCH, NO. 15867, CIRCA 1875 Movement: Three quarter plate movement, bimetallic split balance, helicoil sprung, English lever escapement Case: 18 carat gold five piece hinged case, the front cover engraved with an armorial, the back cover engraved 'Presented to Charles Francis Trower by his wards the children of the Rev, John & Louisa Turner as a token of their gratitude for the love and care with which he faithfully discharged the duties of his Guardianship during a period of twenty years December 1878', hallmarked London 1875 Dial: White Size: 53mm Signed: Case, dial, movement Accessories: None   Condition Report: Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. Dial appears to be in a generally good condition with no marks visible when viewed under a 4x loupe. Hands show marks and tarnishing when viewed under a x4 loupe. Glass has some scratches and marks when viewed under a 4x loupe. Case shows light scratches and marks. Engraving worn. Minor crease to the cover Hinges appear intact.
