One of the very rare originals of the Lindbergh hour angle watch from the 1930s, with which model Charles Lindbergh once became the first person to cross the North Atlantic alone by aeroplane. White dial, dark blue hands, black Roman and blue Arabic numerals, central seconds, inner rotating champagne-coloured dial with red and black numerals, marked 'Longines Verga', marked with a courtly crown. Rotating bezel with black and blue Arabic numerals. Verso stainless steel, back cover can be opened, marked 'Acier Inox Staybrite 20492 11', polished inside. Black leather strap with pin buckle and strap extension. Very good age-appropriate condition. Diam. 47 mm, weight approx. 119 g. With written confirmation from Longines regarding the installation of movement 18.69 N and the purchase in Italy in 1939. -
