It was produced by Mathey-Tissot, a brand that sometimes gets mistaken as the predecessor of Tissot, although it is in no way affiliated with it. Mathey-Tissot was founded in 1886 and very quickly made a name for themselves for producing high quality chronographs. For this one they installed the famous Valjoux 72 in a fancy steel case with screw-down case back. It is in very nice untouched condition with a beautiful patina dial and a new blue genuine crocodile strap.
