It features an 80 metres water resistant case with a screw down crown, integrated rubber strap and a bezel-free design. The LM EVO also has a monobolc shock-absorbing “FlexRing” system, dampening any vertical and horizontal shocks to protect the movement. Just as it is with the other LM EVO, the case measures at 44mm made of grade 5 Titanium. And as it is with the other Legacy Machine it features a highly domed sapphire crystal to accommodate the the flying balance wheel at the center of the dial. This LM EVO has an icy-cool blue dial with slate grey subdials displaying the time, date and power reserve. And powering the LM EVO Split Escapement, is a manually wound movement with double mainspring barrels designed by Stephen McDonnell. The movement is complex with a whopping 298 components and it has a fool-proof quick set date with a button at 10. The idea of the Split Escapement came when MB&F and Stephen McDonnell were designing the perpetual calendar, they need two criteria : to make it fool-proof and display the MB&F’s signature flying balance wheel at the centre of the dial. They realised that there was nowhere to put the escapement, as in the previous Legacy Machines, the escapements were on the dial side along with the balance wheel. Therefore he came out with an ingenious idea of creating the world’s longest balance staff that would traverse the entire movement, leaving the balance wheel on its own. Hence, the name “Split Escapement”. This gives a spectacular effect that the balance wheel is floating on its own at the centre of the dial. The watch is in mint condition with minimum sign of wear.
