Marking a significant evolution in the Ming’s aesthetic and technical prowess, the 37.05 Moonphase Series 2 was launched in 2023, less than 2 years after the independent powerhouse launched their very first moonphase. Retaining Ming’s balanced 38mm diameter and 11.9mm thick stainless steel construction, the 37.05 serves to enhance its predecessor's features with innovative details. Boasting domed sapphire crystals, coated on both sides for anti-reflective clarity, the 37.05 features a stunning sunray-brushed anthracite dial which houses a captivating moonphase disk at 6:00, cleverly integrated above the date window. Additionally, a unique feature of the 37.05 Series 2 is its star-shaped apertures on the dial, which illuminate to a bright yellow and green, complementing the yellow moon disk, enhancing visibility and whimsy in low light conditions. Powered by the manually-wound Sellita SW288-1 which was meticulously reworked to align with Ming's design ethos, the movement showcases skeletonized, matte-blasted bridges with an anthracite coating and a contrasting circular-brushed rhodium section, boasting a 40-hour power reserve.
