The Movado cal. 138 is a Zenith cal. 2552 PC, a fantastic Swiss chronometre-grade automatic movement. It was serviced by a reputable professional watchmaker in February 2025 and it is working flawlessly. The beautuful black dial is in great original condition and it was never restored. Dial and hands retain their original tritium lume. The Monnin/MRP SA case is a very wearable size at 42 mm across, and it is in very good condition, with some signs of wear expected for age. The original unidirectional 60-click bakelite bezel is in great condition with no cracks and it also retains its luminous triangle at 12 o'clock. The screw-down crown is Movado signed. The watch comes on an original Tropic Sport strap. This model featured in Hodinkee's 'Talking Watches' with Greg Selch ("It's 'super' looking"). This rare vintage diver embodies the best of vintage watch collecting: quality, rarity, originality.
