La Ollech & Wajs nasce nel 1956, quando Albert Wajs, residente a Zurigo, decise di collaborare con il suo amico Joseph Ollech e aprire un negozio di orologi di lusso, inizialmente vendendo al dettaglio Breitling e Omega prima di lanciare il proprio marchio: Ollech & Wajs Zürich. Ollech & Wajs, tra le tante cose, ha prodotto due modelli di orologi molto simili, entrambi 24 ore che prendono il nome dai satelliti spaziali: Early Bird e Moon Orbiter. Moon Orbiter è uno degli orologi più rari, in termini di produzione, realizzati da O&W. Infatti, i modelli sono stati realizzati per ospitare movimenti di 24 ore, ma nel caso del Moon Orbiter, un modello sperimentale (essendoci carenza di ruote di 24 ore), solo una parte ospita effettivamente la versione con movimento 24 ore.

Ollech & Wajs was founded in 1956, when Zurich resident Albert Wajs decided to team up with his friend Joseph Ollech and open a luxury watch shop, initially retailing Breitling and Omega before launching his own brand: Ollech & Wajs Zurich. Ollech & Wajs, among many things, produced two very similar watch models, both 24-hour watches named after space satellites: Early Bird and Moon Orbiter. Moon Orbiter is one of the rarest watches, in terms of production, made by O&W. In fact, the models were made to accommodate 24-hour movements, but in the case of the Moon Orbiter, an experimental model (as there is a shortage of 24-hour wheels), only a part actually houses the version with 24-hour movement.
