(ref 1410) This vintage Omega Geneve Chronometer F300Hz watch has been fully serviced following a complete strip down, clean, reassembly, and correct lubrication and timing. It has the iconic ESA chronometer electronic tuning fork movement, known as the ‘hummer’ from its distinctive sound, and has been brought up to spec with the addition of the new, new old stock (NOS), and replacement parts listed below. Make/Model: Omega Electronic F300Hz Geneve Chronometer tuning fork watch. Movement: Omega 1250 (ESA 9162) with serial no. 35690137 from 1972 year of manufacture, with ‘quickset’ date function. Casing: Gold plated and stainless steel case, Omega type ‘198.0068.169’ with screw down case back. Original Omega signed crown. 36mm across not including the crown/lugs, and 10mm deep. Dial/hands/Crystal: Gold tone dial with subtle vertical ‘brushed’ finish. Black/gold hour markers with original matching pair of Omega hour and minute hands. Elegant original gold sweep seconds hand. Genuine Omega signed crystal. New/NOS items: New metal date indicator dial. Electronic T-unit. Correctly sized 344 button cell battery. Rear case back seal. Crown micro o-ring seal. Leather 20mm strap (in your choice of black or dark brown) with gold tone buckle and spring bars. 3x correctly sized generic case clamps. Replacement items: Index wheel. Pawl finger assembly. 3x electronic unit screws. Service/refurb: Light clean of the case, and light polish of the case back. Crystal polished with specialist compound to reduce the appearance of any blemishes. Only the best Moebius oils and grease have been used and applied correctly during the comprehensive service (types 9010, 9020, 8201 Moly, 8200, 8300, silicone). All relevant parts demagnetised. Extended test accuracy (on bench, dial up/down) is excellent, within a few seconds average per day. Other: As expected of a vintage watch there are signs of age/patina/marks etc, and this one is in good condition overall. There are some historical opening marks to the case back. As with most vintage watches it no longer has its original box or paperwork. Note that my vintage watches have no guarantee of being water resistant/proof, and you should assume they are not. The crown is pulled out to the mid stage to ‘quickset’ the date in either direction; it is then pulled out a stage further in order to set the hands (or store the watch as this is also the power Off position). As additional info for those already familiar with these movements - it has been serviced in accordance with the ESA technical manual, including the gauged set-up of both the index and pawl jewel assemblies, and the exacting and essential lubrication of the friction wheel with specialist grease. It is drawing 9.4/10.5 micro amps full-load current at 1.35/1.55V, and has been tested to work correctly over the 1.05 to 1.70V voltage range. All electrical resistance measurements of coils and transistor are satisfactory.
