1965 Omega Seamaster Cal. 560 Vintage Mens 14K Gold Filled Watch - Only Approx. 3000 Made
Today's offering showcases this uncommon, classic and interesting automatic Omega Seamaster. It features Omega's caliber 560 movement of which only 3,000 examples were made. These watches were made just for the U.S. market to avoid higher tariffs, and these 3,000 movements were split across 9 models, most not branded as a Seamaster, making each model in effect a very "limited edition."
It has all of its original parts and presents nicely on the wrist. Its untouched original silver linen dial is in excellent condition.
Its gold-filled case, which is in honest original condition with wear between the lugs from a previously installed metal bracelet, has the look of a solid gold Omega without the price tag. Otherwise it has light scratches and wear and no gold wear through. It has not been previously heavily polished so it retains strong lines.
One of our Master Watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. It is running very strong and true, keeping time nearly on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, it comes equipped with an Italian calfskin strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
