This special Panerai from 2010 is inspired by a previous watch that the brand released in 1998, at a time when the company was transitioning from from its small, independent Pre-Vendôme era to the luxury watch, Richemont-owned powerhouse that it is today. Both this watch and the original are exclusive limited editions. The engraved, fixed bezel shows a 24 hour ring for the GMT display (the only Panerai to do this), indicated by an extra hand from the centre. The dial as a whole features a gorgeous “tuxedo” design, with its vertical pinstripes, bold numerals and suave black and white colour code. This Panerai Luminor GMT PAM00029 has a black quarter arabic dial and a leather strap.
