Patek Philippe, An 18K gold flared rectangular wristwatch, circa 1950's, ref.1593 18-jewel Cal.9-90 manual winding movement,  a silvered dial with applied gold Arabic numerals, baton hands, subsidiary second, curved flared rectangular case, snap back, with a calf skin strap and buckle, the case, dial and movement all signed, m ovement No.976139, c ase No.681691, t he case 41mm length. The Patek Philippe Reference 1593, known as the “Hour Glass,” was produced from 1944 until the late 1960s. Its unique case design, featuring concave and convex lines reminiscent of an hourglass, was crafted by the renowned Geneva-based casemaker Markowski (identified by Geneva Key 8).
