The 5960P pairs the annual calendar complication with a fly-back chronograph, and, more importantly, it houses the first wholly in-house Patek Philippe self-winding chronograph movement, the calibre CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H. A modern self-winding chronograph movement with a nearly wear-free vertical clutch combined with Patek Philippe’s legendary annual calendar made the 5960P one of Patek Philippe’s most sought after references. Since its debut in 2006, Patek Philippe has released a pink gold 5960 in 2009, and a second platinum variation fitted with a blue sunburst dial in 2010. Our present example bears the configuration of the original 5960P that was released in 2006, fitted with an anthracite dial. We are pleased to offer this present lot that combines two of the most popular complications in timekeeping in wonderfully preserved condition.
