With an extract from the records confirming the production of this watch in 1998 and its sale on February 27, 1998, a service pouch. Provenance: Collection of an enthusiast. Launched in 1997, the Aquanaut marked the official appearance of a sports watch in the brand's collections. The first model was marketed under the reference 5060A and is equipped with the caliber 330SC, which offers a power reserve of 48 hours. With this watch, Patek Philippe offers its customers for the first time an alternative to traditional leather or steel bracelets and introduces the "Tropical" rubber strap, a must-have material of the 1990s. In terms of design, while the case of the 5060A is reminiscent of the Nautilus, its matte black "grenade" dial contrasts with the hatched dial of the icon designed by Gerald Genta. CONDITION REPORT: This watch was fully serviced at the Patek Philippe workshops in January 2025, and has been kept under service seal ever since.
