Nicknamed ‘Nautellipse’ by collectors, this reference has a stainless steel case echoing the well-known shape of the Nautilus, signed by Favre Perret. A fusion of sportiness and elegance, it gained popularity for being the model that allowed the Ellipse to go from being a purely elegant watch to a sports watch, while also equipping it with a water-resistant case. Crafted in steel, two-tone and yellow gold, with multiple dial options to meet the needs of different groups of buyers, the watch was offered exclusively with the quartz E27 calibre, considered a promising alternative in the context of the quartz crisis. The specimen offered here also bears an important signature of the Swiss dealer Gübelin on the dial, which increases its rarity and prestige, and is accompanied by the Archive Extract.
