History Launched from 1971 to 1973, the  Espace  collection marks the collaboration between  designer  Pierre Cardin and watchmaker Jaeger. It would be inspired by space expeditions, notably that of Yuri Gagarin in 1961. The watches were then made of non-precious materials such as metal, lucite, crystals, etc . All have been designed with a manual movement and present  designs  playing on geometric volumes whose lines are borrowed from the space universe.
