On 28 September 2008, a pioneering event took place in Singapore, where some of the world's top drivers and cars competed in Asia's inaugural street race and the first-ever night race in Formula 1 history. Richard Mille, an enthusiast of automobile racing, is renowned for his passion for speed and power. These watches underwent a series of rigorous tests when his close friend, Ferrari F1 driver Felipe Massa, began "test-driving" them in 2006. In honor of Felipe Massa's debut Grand Prix race in Singapore, Richard Mille has created a special edition of the RM 011 timepiece. This version features a carbon fiber flange around the dial, adorned with red hues, while the hour indexes alternate between red and white, mimicking the colors of Singapore's national flag. Additionally, a DLC coating on the titanium case adds a nocturnal ambiance to the watch. To commemorate their friendship, the phrase "Felipe Massa's 1st Singapore GP" is discreetly engraved on the back case.
