It was like Mr. Mille created a category in itself of avant-garde watches using cutting-edge technology materials inspired by motorsports and aerospace.
The RM011 is certainly the most recognisable model within the RM catalogue, attributing to its story, success and the brand’s friendship / collaboration with the Brazilian driver, Felipe Massa. Since then we saw RM011-01, RM011-02 and in 2016 the release of an upgraded version, bigger in size called RM11-03. The classic tonneau case is emblematic of Richard Mille and its signature design, endorsing top athletes and answering their need for watches that resist extreme conditions. 2011 saw a revolution with the world’s lightest and shock resistant watch in the industry. The RM27 collection developed for Rafael Nadal, to allow him to play during tournaments with his watch. Since then the carbon fiber cased RM27-01, RM27-02 and RM27-03 versions were released, all limited to 50 pieces & ultra-ultra-light. *The present model is the automatic extra-thin RM67-01 in rose gold remarkably comfortable, elegant and the perfect day-to-day Richard Mille watch. A lifestyle’ model which is an extremely flat automatic watch based on the emblematic tonneau-shape casing. The rosegold case is 7.75mm thick, and the skeletal dial displays the hours, minutes, date and function indicator, which is at 2 o’clock to select winding (W), date setting (D) and hands setting (H). On the inside is the manufacture caliber CRMA6 offering a 2-day power reserve and is a skeletonised automatic-winding movement. The baseplate and bridges are made in Grade 5 Titanium and it features a platinum rotor. The finishing on the movement is stunning, with micro blasted anglage and sinks, and electroplasma treatment for the baseplate, hand-drawn after treatment. This stunning piece of mechanical art is offered on a black rubber strap, with a rosegold Richard Mille pin buckle.
