This is an interesting Air King, as it was a gift for the employees of Pool Intairdril, an oil maintenance company. The company supplied labour, platforms and equipment to large oil companies, including Occidental, Agip and the Libyan National Oil Company. The watches were given to the employees of Pool Intairdril as a reward for safety. Safety was a very important issue, so platform managers and personnel in charge of safety management received Rolex Air Kings with their names engraved on the back and a certificate of commendation.
