Add a Honeycomb dial with Roulette date and you have yourself one of the nicest we have ever seen. Launched in 1953, it introduced a host of firsts for Rolex. It became the first commercially available Rolex watch with a rotating bezel, as seen on the reference 6202 which is often mistaken for a 'Submariner' for its design similarities later on. Once they introduced the references 6309 and 6609, the Turn-o-Graph’s resemblance to the Submariner ended as they became a part of the Datejust family which meant they had a date-function. Next to that also the first to use the 'Rolesor' finish, better known as steel and gold. Next to all the comforts and beauty that the regular Datejust provides, the Turn-O-Graph has a bi-directional turning bezel, giving it a sportier look and an alternative feel. This Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph reference 6609 dates back to 1956 and is absolutely breathtaking. The absolute star of the show is the black 'Honeycomb' dial which remains in an impeccable condition. Complimented with beautiful brown colored lumeplots that match perfectly with the leaf hands. She sits in a stainless steel case which has razor sharp edges and a diameter of 36 mm. All this glory is carried by the original Jubilee bracelet. The entire watch has been preserved very well and shows very little signs of its age. Add a nice 'Roulette' date and you get yourself this winner of a collectible watch.
