Rolex “Full-Set 6265 18kt” Daytona

Offered here is a lovely and crisp example of Rolex Daytona, Ref. 6265, circa 1987, produced in 18kt Yellow Gold. During this era, very few Daytonas were produced in gold, most being fitted in a steel case. In fact, allegedly less than 10% of the 24,000 of 6263 and 6265 watches for the 20 year period of their production run were made in gold. This example is outfitted with a popular black dial. Further, this watch comes complete as a full-set, including its original Rolex box, “punched” Warranty Certificate (showing the original date of sale in July of 1987), and booklets. The condition of this Daytona is great. The case has been lightly polished in the past, with thick and sharp lugs and remaining very sharp; the caseback still has its original green protective sticker. The dial is in perfect condition, with absolutely no wear or damage. The original tritium lume is still present on both dial and hands, and in excellent condition; the 9 and 11 o’clock plots show very minor lume loss.
