Rare Rolex Prince Brancard 'tiger stripe' 9ct bicolour gentleman's wristwatch, reference no. 971U, import hallmarks for Glasgow 1930, case no. 735xx, silvered dial with applied baton markers over subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, Observatory Quality Extra Prima 15 jewels movement timed to 6 positions, no. 734xx, with signed movement patent protective cap, bicolour striped gold case signed Rolex with flared sides, modern black leather strap, 26mm x 43mm, Box and Papers - no. Movement - currently functioning. Dial - appears to possibly be refinished to some degree - the 'Rolex Prince' lettering is not completely level and the hour markers appear to be later addition with the six marker overlapping the subsidiary seconds, some surface marks. Glass - surface scratches and a bubble mark to the top left corner. Hands - good. Case - some tarnishing to the gilt stripes, some surface scratches present, some mild tarnishing to the edges of the case back. Crown - adjusting correctly, rubbed. Strap - modern, good.
