One of the least known Rolex models out there, this Prince—part of the discontinued Cellini collection—is one of the most distinctive Rolex watches ever made. Not only does it have a rectangular case—the kind more often made by the likes of Cartier—it also has a split dial, with the hours and minutes at the top and a subdial at the bottom for the seconds. Both dials feature a guilloche “Rayon Flamme de la Gloire” pattern, which translates as “Sunray flames of glory”. Even more surprising is the open caseback, something rarely found on Rolex models. The black leather strap and stepped lugs add to its glamorous Art Deco appearance. This Rolex Prince 5443/9 has a black baton dial and a leather strap.
