Caliber A296, Signature Dial, case and movement The Turn-O-Graph is launched in 1953 and is considered as one of the first Rolex’s tool-watches. The reference 6202 is the first one featuring a bidirectional rotating bezel calibrated to 60 minute to be serially produced. Becoming a landmark feature in Rolex’s production, this bezel opened a new path that will be soon followed by other models such as Submariner and GMT. Rolex merged the ‘Turn-O-Graph’ with the ‘DateJust’ in 1954 with reference 6309. Produced one year, this wristwatch is one of the rare example of this first generation of the Turn-O-Graph: a milestone of Rolex history.
