Seiko Captain Willard 6105-8110

A Seiko Automatic 150m 'Captain Willard' stainless steel cased gentleman's diver's wristwatch, Ref. 6105-8110, circa May 1972, with signed and jewelled 6105B caliber movement, the signed black dial with luminous hour markers and date aperture and detailed 'Water 150m Resist', the case with black rotating bezel, the signed case back detailed '6105-8110' and numbered '250050', case width 4.4cm, on a steel tapered link bracelet with foldover clasp. Note: during the Vietnam War, Seiko watches were offered in the U.S. Military Post Exchanges on bases in South-east Asia. The 6105 was worn by Martin Sheen's character, Captain Willard, in Francis Ford Coppola's 1979 iconic war film Apocalypse Now.
