Squale DW Divers Watches 60 Atmos Thalassa Limited Edition 50 Pieces Swiss 600m
Diver’s Watches Facebook Group and SQUALE, have partnered to produce a limited edition of 100 timepieces, made available to the members of the group. These watches are the new Squalematic “Thalassa” steel automatic which will be released in two versions, each of 50 watches. The first version will be assigned the model Ref. MATICDWBK and will feature a satin brushed case, black dial and black FKM “Summit” strap with matching steel logoed buckle. The second version will be assigned the model Ref. MATICDWBL and will feature a mirror polished case, blue dial and blue strap with matching steel logoed buckle. They are being released in November of 2021. The watches have been customized with the DW group logo and model name on the dial and the watch’s limited edition number and model reference were engraved on the case back.
In Greek mythology, Thalassa was the primordial goddess of the sea. Together with Pontos (Pontus), her male counterpart, she produced the fish and other sea creatures. As a sea deity, Thalassa was considered to be the actual personification of the sea’s water, specifically the water of the Mediterranean and in the fables of Aesop, manifests as a woman formed of sea-water rising from her native element.Thalassa is depicted in Greco-Roman mosaics as a matronly woman, half-submerged in the sea, with crab-claw horns, seaweed for clothes, and a ship’s oar in her hand.
