Tudor Montecarlo Chronograph Ref. 7032/0 - 'Home Plate'

Rolex is a serious brand. Its younger sibling, Tudor, is a fun brand. Tudor long has been riffing on iconic designs from Brand with the Crown, and the Monte-Carlo is the Tudor version of the Rolex Daytona. In theory, the Tudor formula remains the same. Rolex case, Rolex build-quality, but a standard ebauche movement - but with the Monte-Carlo Tudor really starts coming into its own unique design language. The Homeplate in particular is one of those great designs. The vibrant colors and eye catching design make this one of the watches any serious collector should consider. The horizontally mounted cyclops at 6, and the 'Homeplate’ shaped luminous markers that give this reference its nickname are visually stunning and immediately recognized as Tudor. This example is one of the best to come through our hands. The case - having been professionally restored - is in excellent condition - but the perfection of the dial is the real standout here. It’s truly magnificent - and sure to be a perfect companion for the next 40 years as it has been thus far. Movement: Manual-winding Cal. 234 chronograph movement with date by Valjoux. Bracelet/Strap: Pictured Oliver & Clarke Branded Leather Strap
