Only a few minor spots are visible on the dial and hands, but overall, it has developed a beautiful patina. The last owner told us this watch was originally a gift from a company, featuring personal engravings from the first owner on the case back. He chose to remove them after purchasing the watch, which is why there are no Universal Genève marks left on the case back. Thankfully, the serial number was recorded inside the case back to preserve that information. The reference 20357/2 was produced from 1956 to 1959, with a serial number range from 1,842,664 up to 2,047,XXX — dating this particular watch most likely to 1958. The Polerouter, with its timeless, elegant, and clean design, is one of Gerald Genta’s earliest works, created when he was in his 20s.
