8876 Historiques 222 4200H/222J-B935 2022 Box and Papers Vacheron's iconic 222, in yellow gold.\n\nDesigned by Jorg Hysek and released in 1977 (shortly after Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak in 1972 and Patek Philippe's Nautilus in 1976), it stood in stark contrast against the brand's mainstay, which was then (and arguably still is now) thin dress watches rendered in precious metal. The 222 was part of the first generation of integrated bracelet sports watches, and this re-release follows the design very closely. It's a luxurious rendition in yellow gold and champagne dial, with an overall brushed finish.\n\nVacheron's Maltese Cross motif is everywhere, from on the 4 o'clock lug to the "hidden" bracelet clasp. It uses an ultra-thin movement with a solid gold rotor which can be admired through the caseback. This example is in excellent condition, and comes with the original box, booklet and dated warranty card.
