Full Model Reference is 15/35.0470.400. The Zenith El Primero ‘Rainbow’ Automatic Chronograph were highly popular series of the El Primero Watches with Diving capacity having screwed down crown and buttons. It also comes with uni-directional rotating bezel for its diving capacity. This particular Zenith El Primero Rainbow comes with Blue and Gold colorway which gives it a stunning look similar to the Rolex Submariner ‘Bluesy’. Inside the watch it houses the high-frequency Zenith El Primero Caliber 400 which all watch lovers know is a legendary Automatic Chronograph Movement. Being made from early 1990s the Rainbow series was discontinued soon after LVMH’s takeover of Zenith 1999 where it was no longer available in the early 2000’s. CONDITION REPORT: Condition-wise the watch runs and keeps time well and all of the other functions including chronograph and date all work flawlessly. The watch has not been serviced by us and we do not offer timekeeping or any functional guarantee. Ultimately the decision to service the watch is the sole responsibility of the end user. Cosmetically the watch is in very good pre-owned condition with normal surface wear such as tiny scratches to the case, caseback and bracelet. There are some tiny dings to the top right lug. Sapphire crystal is nearly free of scratches except for a few tiny ones mirroring the one o’clock marker which appears to be scratches to the anti-reflective coating. The blue and gold bezel insert has some tiny spots of wear all to the inner edge that are hard to see without magnification. Bracelet is full length and will wear larger than 8.5” inches.
