CARTIER Tank Louis Cartier Squelette Ref. 2671 - Limited series No. 44/50 Skeleton bracelet watch in platinum (950‰) Case: rectangular, transparent, screw closure on stretchers, signed Dial: skeleton with blued steel hands, visible barrel spring, signed Movement: hand-wound mechanical, calibre 9710 MC, 19 jewels, signed Bracelet/Fastener: bracelet with folding clasp in 18k (750‰) white gold, signed Size: 38 x 29 mm Gross weight: 63.8 g With: a Cartier case and its certificate of origin numbered 44/50 Transparency has been an integral part of Cartier's style for over a century, from the first mysterious clocks created in 1912 to the skeletonized movements of the 1930s. Our example is part of the Cartier Paris Private Collection, which has updated and modernized some of its most popular and emblematic models. A limited edition of 50 pieces, the Tank Louis Cartier Squelette model launched in 2004 is based on the legendary Tank design that made the brand so famous and sought-after among collectors, with a touch of originality: transparent and skeletonized to differentiate it with an original design. Our example features a platinum case and a manual-winding skeleton movement caliber 9710 MC, comprising 153 components. With double sapphire crystals on the front and back, we can admire the beautiful sunburst finish of the bridges that runs throughout the movement. After winding the watch a few times, the wearer will be hypnotized by the heartbeat-like movement of the balance wheel directly on the wrist.
